Why isn’t the insurance paragraph on the SAR appearing even though I have a Schedule A for this plan?
A thorough review of the Appendix to DOL Regulation 2520.104b-10 showed that the only item Schedule A referenced for the Insurance paragraph of a pension plan’s SAR was Item 5b. We have changed the coding to include the Insurance paragraph only when Item 5b and Item 5e are completed. The insurance commission information will be listed in the additional information available to participants if a Schedule A has been completed and 10(b)(3) has been checked on the 5500.
