Job Summary
The Defined Contribution Plan Analyst is responsible for all testing and service on assigned client’s plans. This
includes but is not limited to the setup and maintenance of all retirement plan specifications and census information,
annual compliance testing, preparation of required forms and fielding questions from client contacts. This position
works under general supervision exercising a great deal of initiative and independent judgement in the performance of
any assigned tasks. In this role both technical and project management skills are utilized.

team. Provides the opportunity for client management and direct client contact. We provide creative plan designs for
small businesses, unique relationship with senior tax CPA’s who help provide creative solutions specific to the business,

Duties / Responsibilities

Assist in the development and review of plan specification for retirement administration clients from plan
documents, summary plan descriptions and proposal calculations
-
Identify and load essential data for plan conversions and annual administration & testing.

Prepare annual compliance tests and instruct client on necessary corrective actions
-
Prepare annual 5500 returns as well as any related schedules or Form 5330 for plan corrections.

Prepare and or review participant distributions forms for client plans.

Assist auditors by providing reports and documents for large plan audits.

Act as liaison with actuary or Defined Benefit team on any combined plan designs
Required Skills / Abilities

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office suite (word and excel).

Excellent Organization skills, with the ability to multi task and track multiple tasks and issues, set and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Basic Project Management skills.

Willingness and flexibility to work additional hours to finish projects during peak seasons

Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA) designation from the American Society of Pension Actuaries (ASPPA) or
similar level of certification or testing achieved in National Institute of Pension Administrators (NIPA) or
willingness to pursue ASPPA exams

Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree preferred with focus in Accounting or Mathematics a plus.

Defined Contribution administration experience (two years or more) preferred.

Serve as a resource to plan sponsors
and financial advisors for matters related to ERISA compliance, plan
design and governmental reporting. Use experience and knowledge to serve
as a resource to internal associates
Essential Duties
and Responsibilities:

Perform all tasks required as
part of the Annual Valuation process for Qualified Retirement Plans,
primarily Defined Contribution - PS, MP, 401k, 403b.

Provide superior customer
service, including problem solving with minimal inconvenience to
clients

Provides effective and timely
verbal and written communications in a clear, concise and
informative written manner

Assists the client with all
initial and ongoing plan design and document support
-
Assists the clients in meeting
all IRS and Department of Labor deadlines necessary for qualified
retirement plan
-
Maintains up-to date knowledge of
present legislation and proposed legislative changes with regard to
ERISA law through self study and company-sponsored training sessions

Responsible for all aspects of
valuation reports, participant statements and annual testing
-
Reviews or performs, as needed,
the annual testing for plans, including ADP/ACP, Top Heavy, 410(b),
415, 414(s), 401(a)(4) general test/ new comparability ,
deductibility, and 402(g)
-
Reviews distribution paperwork
and coordinates processing of distributions with asset holder
-
Reviews loan paperwork and
coordinates processing of loans with asset holder
-
Reviews or prepares Form 5500 and
coordinates with plan sponsor to help ensure timely filing
-
Assists auditors if a plan is
subject to an audit
-
Assists IRS and DOL auditors, if
the plan is subject to an IRS or DOL audit
-
Coordinate with all applicable
parties, both internal and external, to ensure accurate conversion
process for new clients
-
As applicable, work with
assistant to coordinate and oversee activities that will ensure
timely and accurate completion of book of business
-
Responsible for protecting,
securing, and proper handling of all confidential data held by
Ascensus to ensure against unauthorized access, improper
transmission, and/or unapproved disclosure of information that could
result in harm to Ascensus or our clients.

Requirements:
