What is the effective date supposed to be for my GUST amendment and restatement?

The GUST amendment and restatement differs from previous legislative restatements in that the effective date for the GUST restatement is the first day of the current plan year. If you are restating the document in 2001 for a calendar year plan, the effective date would be 1/1/01. If you are restating the document on 2/28/02 for a calendar year plan, the effective date would be 1/1/02.
