During the installation, Setup says it is unable to locate the license file on the license diskette. What now?


It's possible that he setup program isn't properly detecting the license file. To resolve this issue, you will need to take the following steps 1) On the License Diskette Installation dialog, press [Browse]. 2) In the textbox at the top of the "Select Destination Directory" dialog that pops up, replace "A:\" with "A:" and press [OK]. 3) Press [Next>] on the License Diskette Installation dialog. This should cause the license diskette to be read properly. If the above procedure does not work, please follow the below procedure to manually install the license disk. 1) Tell Setup that "No, you do not wish to install a license diskette at this time", and complete the installation as normal. 2) Manually copy the DTWIN.DAT file from the license diskette to the DATA directory you specified during the installation of DS/Win. If you are unsure of the directory where your data is stored, launch DS/Win and select Help | About from the menu. The location of the database will be displayed. You can copy the file using Windows Explorer or through a DOS command line. Your Windows operating system online help contains detailed information on copying files.
